The Royal Barocko Candle

Very Large Size: 3.3 kgs (5 wicks)

"True to the tradition of the wax makers of Versailles who supplied the King’s Court, the hand-moulded wax is nestled in vintage-style lacquered Trianon Grey glass with an ornate gold medallion, echoing the fine French craftsmanship of yore. Cosy and Royal! .

I wanted to create an astonishing blend one might find in the golden age of baroque, giving a starring role to Eau de Cologne created in 1695. A refreshing composition of tonic and citrusy major notes, it reveals a new facet of its identity. Melded with the subdued notes of benzoin, rockrose and spices, it grows richer, with greater depth and mystery." - Elisabeth de Feydeau

1. Trim the wicks regularly. They can not exceed 1 cm, 1/3 inch.

2. Always burn the candle until the whole surface becomes liquid. This will avoid the candle to hollow and preserve its exceptional quality. (It can take a long time at first burning when the wax is hard)

3. Dark smoke after some hours burning means the wicks are too long. It is time to put out the candle.

4. Five minutes after putting out the candle and before the wax is totally solid, reposition the wicks vertically to their initial place.

5. Regularly clean the inside of the candle to avoid the appearance of soot.

6. Never burn the last centimeter, 1/2 inch of wax to avoid wicks burning against the glass/metal.
